Rosa Barbara (Dearduff) Rogers

Mrs. Rosa B. Rogers, 66, wife of Melvin C. Rogers, was laid to rest in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, north of Muncie, Tuesday following services at 2 p.m. at the Baxter-Markin-Richman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rogers died Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Blackford county hospital where she had been a patient the past month. She had been ill 3 years.

She was a lifelong resident of Blackford county. Her parents were James and Margaret (Cale) Dearduff. The family home is on Rural Route 4 northeast of this city.

Besides the husband, Mrs. Rogers is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Henry McDonald, of this city; 3 sons, Virgil A. and Melvin A. both of Route 4 and Clifford J. of Route 3; 15 grandchildren; a great grandchild and a sister, Mrs. H. P. Goodner of Orlando, Fla.

Burial services were in charge of Rev. Ralph Coleson, of the Hartford City Wesleyan Methodist Church, and Rev. Mildred Whetsel, of the Pleasantdale EUB Church.

Harry E. McDonald, Jack L. McDonald, Ivan McDonald, Richard Rogers, Ivan Rogers and Merle Rogers served as pallbearers.
