Essie "Louise" Foust Rawlings, 77, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the Oaks at Radford Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Abilene, Texas. Graveside services will be 10 A.M. Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Gary Ruffin officiating. A visitation will be on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M at McCoy Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rawlings was born May 12, 1935, in Nolan County to Ernest Leonard "Jack" Foust and Elois Allen. She owned and operated Short Stop Convenience store in Sweetwater for many years and was also a longtime waitress.

She is survived by her son, Leon Rawlings, Jr. and wife, Kaye of Abilene, Texas. Three Grandchildren, John Rawlings and wife Tiffany of Roscoe, Texas. SGM Terry Wade and wife Wendy of Hohenfels, Germany, and Heather Reyes and Husband Tim of Abilene, Texas, and seven Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by Brother Ernest Foust of Avinger, Texas and two sisters, Ruby Fitzpatrick of Roby, Texas, and Carol Brewer of Roscoe, Texas, as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Mrs. Rawlings was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Janie Elaine Woodard, one brother Bill Foust, and three sisters, Vernell Salyer, Geraldine Harrell and Betty Rawlings. As well as her former husband Leon "Cotton" Rawlings.
