Dee Edward Nelson was born February 8th, 1929 at Perry, Utah to parents Janesy & Divian (Crouther) Nelson. He died Friday, June 22nd, 2012 at Ashley Manor Residential Care Facility in Hermiston, Oregon at the age of 83.
Dee was raised in Ruppert, Idaho. On December 30, 1977 he married Ruby Virginia Salkield in Ruppert. Ruby died in 1995. He married Linda Lee Knoebel in Umatilla on July 25th, 1998. Dee drove truck for Simplot until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and farming. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife Linda Nelson of Hermiston, OR; Daughter, Pat Buckley of Ruppert, ID; Sons, Edward D. Nelson of Tacoma, WA and Ronald Nelson of Tacoma, WA; Brothers, Jack C. Nelson of Brigham City, UT, Max R. Nelson of Brigham City, UT; Sisters, Julia Walters of Brigham City, UT, Myrna Ellis of Brigham City, UT; Special Nephew, Reggie Buckley of Ruppert, ID; Numerous Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Wife, Ruby Nelson in 1995; Son, Larry Nelson; Brothers, Darrell and Carl Nelson; Sister, Renea Bailey.
At his request, there will be no services held. Disposition was by cremation. Private burial of cremains will take place at the Hermiston Cemetery.
