PERRY – Max Reese Nelson 82 passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016.

Max was born on May 22, 1933 in Perry, Utah a son of Vivian Crowther and Jamesy Sheldon Nelson.

He lived his entire life in Perry.

Max attended Perry Elementary and graduated from Box Elder High School.

He served his country in the Army spending time in Germany during the Korean War.

Max married his sweetheart Lois Jensen on September 14, 1956 in Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings throughout his life: Executive Secretary, High Priest, Home Teacher and District Supervisor.

Max farmed in his early life and when newly married. He drove truck for Fife Rock Products for 29 years.

Max enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and word searches. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Surviving are his children: Reese (Jana) Nelson, Perry; Max Kelly (LeAnn) Nelson, Brigham City; Carolyn (Jason) Davis, Perry; and Peggy (Brent) Rose, Willard; 24 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and sister Julia Waters, Brigham City.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Lois, four brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter.

Interment Willard Cemetery with Military Honors.
