Myrna Nelson Ellis, passed away peacefully in her home, with loved ones close by on February 16, 2014 in Brigham City, UT. She was born December 12, 1930 in Perry, UT, a daughter of Vivian Crowther and Jamesy Sheldon Nelson. She graduated from Box Elder High School. She married Donald W. Ellis on August 4, 1949, they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. Myrna and Don started out their marriage in Perry then lived in Garland, Tremonton, Rigby ID, Pocatello, ID, Roy and eventually moved back to Brigham City.
Myrna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served in various callings including primary, cub scouts, Young Women's and was very active in Relief Society. Myrna along with her husband served in the Ogden Temple for two years doing sealings 3 nights a week.
She worked at the Perry Canary; Jessie's Café; Maddox Ranch House, making pies; Brigham Sportswear Apparel; Hamilton & Baron Woolen Mills; and the ZCMI center in Pocatello.
Myrna enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, and scrapbooking. Her #1 interest was her husband, children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; her daughter ViAnn (Neil) Wadsworth, Brigham City and daughter-in-law Bonnie Ellis of Elwood, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Also surviving are her siblings Max R. Nelson and Julia Waters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Kenny Ellis, daughter Kathy Christensen, a granddaughter Miranda, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
The family would like to thank three special angels with Access Hospice Elaine Egbert, Bonnie Hart and Angel, the Staff and ER with Brigham City Hospital, the staff at the Ogden Regional Stroke Unit, the staff at Willow Glen and the Brigham Ambulance for their loving care. Also the family would like to thank Steve Laing, their faithful home teacher, Bishop Deryl Sanderson, and their neighbors Shaun and Kellie Bess along with many other friends, neighbors and family for their support and care over the years.
Services will be held Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Brigham City 23rd Ward Chapel 620 North 300 East, Brigham City.
Friends may call on Wednesday February 19 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel 205 South 100 East Brigham City, and on Thursday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
