Wigginton, Dorothy Cheatham, age 86, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died Friday, January 19, 2001. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 22, 2001, at 12:00 p.m. from First United Methodist Church of Montgomery, AL, with Dr. Karl Stegall and Rev. Torrence Maxey officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. from Forest Crest Cemetery in Birmingham, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Wigginton.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David E. Wigginton and Georgianna of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Deah Michelle Wigginton of Clay, AL; Jonathan Thomas, James Thomas, and Brandy Thomas, all of Montgomery, AL; brother, Allan M. Cheatham of Louisville, KY; three sisters, Frances Wood, Emily Davenport, and Nancy Stephens, all of Louisville, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Montgomery, AL, or to the American Cancer Society.
