Oliver LeRoy Heichel, 57, of 420 Poplar Ave., Clearfield died in the Clearfield Hospital at 9 p.m. yesterday.

He was employed by Fred Diehl Motors, Inc., until his retirement in 1971.

Born in Karthaus Dec. 24, 1915, he was a son of Clyde and Levina (Moore) Heichel.

He is survived by his wife, the former Gladys Corwell, and these children: Mrs. John (Theda) Hockenberry, Shawville; Barbara Jane and Douglas Heichel, at home; Mrs. John (Beverly) Daub, Cleafield R.D.; Gerald, Millville, N.J., and William Coopersburg. There are also 15 grandchildren.

Brothers and sisters surviving are: Mrs. Inez Hertlein, Mrs. Freda Kelly, Gerald Heichel and Mrs. Wilma Showden, all of Clearfield; Mrs. Nina Gilbert, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Ruth Showden, Pittsburgh; Eugene Heichel, Buffalo, N.Y.; Carl Heichel, Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Maurice Heichel, Millville, N.J.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Palestine Cemetery, Morrisdale R.D.

Friends may call in the funeral home Wednesday evening and until the hour of services on Thursday.
