Donald D. Vining, 77, 2114 W. 10th St., died
Friday at his residence following an extended
illness. A Portland native, Mr. Vining came to
Muncie as a youth and lived here most of his
life. He was employed at Warner Gear 20
years prior to his retirement in 1963. He was a member of Normal City United Methodist Church, Eagles Lodge 231, of which he was past president; and Warner Gear Sympathy
Club.

Survivors include his widow, Elizabeth, two sons, D. Thomas, Yorktown, and Larry, Sweetser; a daughter, Mrs. Patti Estes, Muncie; a brother Lloyd, Dunkirk; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Bantz, Mrs. Mary Anderson and Mrs. Mae Bell, all of Muncie, and Mrs. Helen Neal, Lawndale, Calif., and 13 grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Jeffrey G. Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday or prior to services Monday. [Muncie Star, 2Oct1976]
