Patti was born September 26, 1934, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Donald and Martha "Babe" (Gurley) Vining.
She attended Forest Park Elementary, Wilson Jr. High, and Muncie Central High School and earned her GED in 1977.
Patti was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a charter member of Muncie Controliners Flying Club and a member of the Avondale Sympathy Club. She was an active participant in the Forest Park Elementary Mothers Club for twelve years while her children attended the school, and she continued to volunteer at Forest Park for many years. Patti also enjoyed square dancing and bowling with her husband.
Patti was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-five years, Elmer Eugene "Gene" Estes; her parents; her brothers, Jack LaRue Vining, Don Thomas "Tom" Vining, and Larry Lee "Butch" Vining; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Sidni, and Cortni Estes.
Patti is survived by her two daughters, Ricki (James) Gribble and Evonne Estes, both of Yuma, Arizona; two sons, Gary (Paula) Estes, Hampton, Virginia, and Brett (Trina) Estes, Bloomfield, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Amy Drake, Brent Gribble, Megan (Royen) Springer, Patci (Anthony) Esparza, Jessica (Mike) French, Amanda Link, Stephanie Estes, Shaun Estes, Derek Estes, and Stephanie (Archie) Pemberton; thirteen great-grandchildren, Revan and Reygan Springer; Tatciana, Elliana, Madalyn, and Makenzie Estes; Cullen Everts, Owen Link, and Jackson and Kylie French; and Ellie, Lauren, and Archie Ryan Pemberton; her sister-in-law, Joan Vining, Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Patti at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church, 1000 E. 24th St., Yuma, followed by an open house at 4:00 p.m. at the home of Evonne Estes, 2799 W. 22nd St., in Yuma.
