George Washington Miller was the youngest of eleven known children of Isaac Miller (c1785-1870) and Mary (went by Polly) Fine Miller (c1789-1876). George was a life-long farmer in the Conrad Hill Township area of Davidson County, North Carolina.
George married Jane Eleanor Gordon (1841-1915) on 22 Sep 1863 at Davidson County, North Carolina Jane was the daughter of John Gordon (b. c1815 in North Carolina) and Mary Cecil Gordon (b. c1820 in North Carolina). It is not known when John or Mary died or where they are buried.
George and Jane were the parents of eight known children, namely:
1. John R. Miller (Rev.) (1865-1941)
2. Alfred Sherman (or Samuel?) Miller (1866-1948)
3. Robert Baxter Miller (1868-1967)
4. Mary Marinda Miller Conrad (1870-1955)
5. George Wilson Miller (1875-1949)
6. Eliza (Lula) J. Miller Lee (1875-1976)
7. Samuel Edward Miller (1877-1953)
8. James Lee Miller (1880-1970)
