Margaret Nona 'Nestor' Knudsen
Woodstock - Margaret N. Knudsen, 80, died Monday, Jan. 10, 1994, at her home.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1913, in Wolbach, Neb., the daughter of Edward F. Nestor and Gertrude E. (Carlson) Nestor. On June 17, 1932, she married Oluf H. Knudsen in St. Paul, Nebraska.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5040 Ladies Auxiliary, the Women of the Moose Lodge 1329, Rebekah Lodge 205, Golden Manes and the Over 50 Club, all of Woodstock.
She was employed at R.C.Allen Co, in Woodstock from 1948 until 1966, then worked at Singer Controls in Crystal Lake before retiring in 1978.

Survivors include a son, LeRoy (Carol) Knudsen, and a daughter, Wilma (Odis) Moore; seven grandchildren, Kendra (Pat) Puzzo, Margene (Ted) Poulos, Richard (Wendy) Moore, Kecia (Sam) Natrop, Lori (Jim) Koch, Michael (Lisa) Moore and Kevin (Tina) Knudsen; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emma J. Knudsen and Frances E. Nestor; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on April 8, 1963; a brother, Raymond 'Buster' Nestor; a twin sister Gertruide Nestor; and a great-grandaughter, Amanda Christine Puzzo.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, in the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at Grace Lutheran Church, the Rev. Norbert W. Meyer officiating.
Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Woodstock Rescue Squad, Grace Lutheran Church or Redeemer Lutheran Church in Woodstock.
