Frances Elizabeth Nestor
Woodstock - Frances Elizabeth Nestor, 82, died Thursday, June 22, 1995, at the Woodstock Residence.

She was born July 16, 1912, in Wolbach, Greeley County, Nebraska, the daughter of Edward F. Nestor and Gertrude 'Betty' E. Carlson Nestor.

She was employed at the Woodstock Typewriter factory then as a house-keeper at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Woodstock until her retirement.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and sewing circle. She also was a member of the Rebecah Lodge 205 in Woodstock.

Frances died in a nursing home at the age of 83. Her last couple of years became difficult for her. She began to fall and at times was unable to get up. She moved from her home into her sister Emma's home. Her health got worse and she had to be taken to the hospital. From there she moved into the nursing home. She was only there for a few weeks before her death caused by cancer.

Frances never married or had children, but she shared in the raising of her nieces and nephews. I pray that she has peace and love with God.

Surviving are a sister, Emma Josephine Knudsen, and her nieces and nephews, Raymond C. Knudsen (Roseanne), Betty Ann Lillie (Jack), James L. Knudsen (Lorraine), John E. Knudsen (Martha), Dorothy K. Whitt (William), Leroy Knudsen (Carol) and Wilma J. Moore (Otis).

She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Nestor, and two sisters, Gertrude, and Margaret Nona Knudsen.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 25, at the McHenry County Memorial Park Chapel in Woodstock, where the funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 26.
The Rev. John Clark-Johnson will officiate.
Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park.

Memorials in her name may be made to either the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois Inc., 410 S. Hager Ave., Barrington, Ill. 60010, or Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock.

Local Funeral arrangements were made by American Family Funeral Services in Cary.
