Mr. William E. "Willie" Babb, age 93, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Millport, Alabama, died Thursday, January 2, 1997, at Crest Health Care Center, Davenport, Iowa.
He married Roberta Porter in Kennedy, Al. She preceded him in death, also a daughter, four sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. , January 4, 1997, from the Chapel of Dowdle Funeral Home, Millport, Al. Bro. Wayne Taylor was the officiating mimister. Interment was in the Kennedy City Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters: Sue Shepherd, Davernport, Iowa,Billie Carey, Davenport, Iowa; two sons, E. Levern Babb, Clanton, Al. Herbert Babb, Seattle, Washington; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Phillip Shepherd, Brandon Chatfield, Leroy Chatfield, Wayne Ingram, Ryan Ingram, Jacob Shepherd.
