Billie Joyce (Babb) Carey
Billie Carey, age 74, of Davenport, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at her home after a 6 year diagnosis with dementia.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly and Jersey Road in Davenport Iowa. The family will greet friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus in Davenport.
Billie was born in 1942 in Millport, Alabama to William and Roberta (Porter) Babb. She moved to Davenport at age 10 and graduated from
Davenport High School in 1959. Billie was married to Olis J. Carey from 1959 to 1984 and then joined her life with Deanna Gold.
Billie owned Top Notch Cleaning for nearly 50 years. She loved playing euchre, camping, playing and coaching softball, watching Alabama football, and making people around her laugh.
She is survived by her partner, Deanna Gold: daughters, Tonia (Larry) Dean, Terri (Dan) Lorentzen, Sonya (Dean) Otte: 10 grandchildren: 17 great grandchildren: and a sister, Sue Shepherd.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
