Born at Castle, she was educated there and in Butte. She was married on February 22, 1911, to Frank Galvin, an engineer for the Great Northern Railway who took Great Northern Number 1 from San Francisco to Lewistown on an exhibition run and made the original nonstop San Francisco-Laurel run.

She had been a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Macabees, St. Joseph's Parish Altar Society, and had been president of the Engineer's Auxiliary.

Her husband died in October, 1956. She is survived by a son, Patrick of Kalispell; daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Frances) Gleason, Mrs. Hillary (Ruth) Butler, Mrs. Clarence (Helen) O'Connell, Mrs. Richard (Connie) Golightly and Mrs. John (Audrey) Cefro, all of Great Falls; Mrs. Rudolph (Bridgie) Jimenez, Long Beach, Calif.; 38 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Services will be in Saint Joseph's Church at a time to be announced by the O'Connor funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. - "Margaret Galvin," Great Falls Tribune, 24 February 1978, p. 8, col. 1.

The family of Margie Galvin wishes to express their thanks to all of Mom's friends, who have been so thoughtful and kind over the years, especially Shirley and Bud Earley who were always there when needed. Our thanks to Fr. Dwyer, Fr. Krier and Fr. Marmion, the choir and St. Joseph's Altar Society of which mom was a Charter member.

All of those who gave food, flowers, charitable contributions and Masses and the lovely luncheon.
