The following was taken from the Jul. 27, 1948 edition of THE ROBESONIAN:
Angus Locklear, 59, was found dead in the road near his home in the Red Springs community last night about 8 o'clock. A physician pronounced his death due to a heart attack, according to Coroner D. W. Biggs, who is in charge of the body.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. from Mt. Airy church, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife and some children.
***NOTE: He is buried with his first wife, and his first name is spelled Anguis on his headstone.
