Miss Edna Clarke Adams, 130 South Pitt Street, died this morning at Carlisle Hospital.
Miss Adams was born in Perry County, a daughter of the late Wilson D. and Mary Kennedy Adams. She was a registered nurse and had been employed at the Boston Store, Chicago, Ill., for many years. Upon her retirement she returned to Carlisle to live. She was a member of Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Surviving are four brothers, Thomas A., Arthur E., Robert B., and Kenneth M. Adams, all of Carlisle, and a sister, Mrs. Mary A. McCord, with whom she lived.
The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 South Hanover Street. The Rev. Dr. Gerald D. Kauffman, her pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. There will be no viewing. The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
