Mrs. Reaves was born December 25, 1897 in Gonzales county. She was the daughter of William David and Ellen Elizabeth Baker Low. She was a member of the First Baptist Church; a long time member of the Daughters of the American Resolution, the Gonzales Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 403, member of the Sesame Club and had served for many years on the Gonzales Library Board.
She was first married to Edward Lewis Walters on December 25, 1917 in Flatonia, and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1960.
She was married on August 19, 1962, to William Benjamin Reaves,and he died on July 4, 1975.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
