Mrs. Bertha Floyd Dies: Service Set for Tuesday
Mrs. Bertha Floyd, 60, died Monday at 3 a.m. after a long illness. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Seydler Funeral Home. Claude F. O'Neall will officiate, assisted by Rev. M. T. Jenkins. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 9, 1886, in Gonzales county, the daughter of W. D. and Ellen Baker Low. She lived in the county all her life. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Mrs. Floyd id survived by her husband, Berry A. Floyd; three children, Lawrence W. Floyd and Mrs. Bernice Stringer of Houston and Rufus L. Floyd of San Antonio; one grandchild, Michael Floyd of San Antonio; her father, W. D. Low; a sister, Mrs. E. E. Walters; and two brothers, Clarence D. and Milton D. Low of Gonzales.
Pallbearers will be B. B. Hoskins Grover Johnson, J. H. Rayson, Horace Wood, Bennie Botts and Roland Davis.
