W. D. Low Dies, Rites To Be Held Saturday

Last rites will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. from the Seydler Funeral home for W. D. Low who died at his home Friday at 10:45 a.m. following a long illness the past year of which he had spent in bed. Interment will be in the City cemetery with the Rev. M. T. Jenkins, pastor of the Eastside Baptist church, officiating assisted by Foy Valentine of the First Baptist church.
Pall bearers will include his grandsons and are: Lawrence Floyd, Rufus Floyd, Howard Low, eugene Low, Kennon Low and David Low.
Low was born on July 13, 1854, in Gonzales county and was past 96 years old. He had been a prominent stockman in this county where he had spent his entire life. His wife and two daughters, Mrs. B. A. Floyd and Almedo Low, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Milton D. Low and Clarence D. Low, both of Gonzales, and one daughter, Mrs. E. L. Walters, also of Gonzales, and several grandchildren.
