A native of Princess Anne County, she was the daughter of William J. and Mrs. Anne E. Brown Murphy. She had been a resident of Norfolk for 34 years.
Mrs. Bonney was a member of Epworth Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Miss Lucille Bonney and Mrs. J.L.
Brent, of Norfolk; a son, Arnold H. Bonney, of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Lillian H. Nunn, of Norfolk; a brother, Dr. W.L. Murphy, of Oceana, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home
tomorrow Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
