William Christian Bonney, 81, of 1310 Lafayette Boulevard, died yesterday at 11:10 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital after an illness of six weeks.
A native of Princess Anne County, he had been a resident of Norfolk since 1916. His late parents were James H, and Mrs. Mary Atwood Bonney. His wife, the late Mrs. Cora Murphy Bonney, died in 1950.
He was a member of Epworth Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Lucille Bonney, and Mrs. J.L. Brent, and one son, Arnold H. Bonney, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. J.A. Gatling, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Ida Wright, of Kempsville, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home at a time to be announced
