Miss Bonney, 79, Retired Teacher
Miss M. Lucille Bonney, 79, of 1310 Lafayette Blvd., a
retired teacher of the Norfolk School system, died Monday in a nursing home.
A native of Princess Anne County, she taught 46 years and retired.
She was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association and Epworth United Methodist
Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and Margaret Rhue Circle.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. James L. Brent of Norfolk; a brother, Arnold H. Bonney of Virginia Beach; and eight nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Cox Funeral Chapel by Dr. R. Harris Kessler and Dr. Orman Bryant. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The
family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to
8:30.
