Rollie Clinton Morrow was born October 20, 1899 in Houston County, Texas to Nancy Mahala Hallmark and Allen Eidan Morrow. His death record and headstone says he was born in 1900, but in the 1900 census record, whic was taken in June of 1900, he is listed at 1 years old. Since he was born in October it would be impossible for him to even be in the 1900 census. Therefore, his birth year has to be 1899.

Rollie married Susie Ellen Babb September 14, 1919 and together they had five children, John Clinton, Lois Dean, Robert Lee, Thelma Odessa and Rollie Clinton Jr. All of their children were born in Houston County.

Rollie worked for a lumber company and traveled to different areas of East Texas with a horse and wagon, taking his young family with him. Susie died of TB in 1934 their youngest child was only 2 years old.

The next year, he married Thelma Lee Ellen Danels. This eighteen year old girl stepped in and took his children for her own and became a true and wonderful mother for them. Together, Rollie and Thelma Lee had seven more children, William Arvel, Geneva Ruth, Kenneth Wayne, Quitman Rayford, Gary Glyn, Laura Ellen, and Royce Anthony.

Rollie and Thelma's first child, William Arvel, was born in Houston County, Texas. But, Geneva Ruth was born in Huntsville, Walker County, Texas. At some point, prior to 1943, the family moved to Huntsville, where Rollie went to work for the Texas Prison System. He worked at both the main prison and on the prison farms as a guard.

By 1946, the family had moved to Conroe in Montgomery County, Texas and bought land on East Seamonds Street, but Rollie continued to work for the Prison System. The family lived in Conroe until Rollie's death in 1970
