Ray was born March 25, 1948 in Huntsville, Walker County, Texas to Rollie Clinton Morrow and Thelma Lee Ellen Danels. Not long after he was born, the family moved to Conroe, Montgomery County, Texas. The family bought a house on East Seamonds Street and that is where Ray grew up.
Growing up in that house was a great thing. His father was a guard for the Texas Prison System and there was never a lot of money, but the house was always filled with family and all the love any child could want.
After high school, Ray served in the Army, but when he was discharged, he came back to Conroe. That is were he married and raised his family and spent the remainder of his life.
