Robert Lee Morrow was born March 4, 1927, in Houston County, Texas, the third of five children born to Rollie Clinton Morrow and Susie Ellen Babb. His mother died in 1934,when Robert, or RL and he was known to every one, was about seven years old.
His father remarried the next year and Robert was raised by his step mother, Thelma.
The family continued to live in Houston County, until about 1941, when they moved to Huntsville, Walker County, Texas, where his father worked for the prison system as a guard.
By 1946, the family had moved to Conroe in Montgomery County. This is where Robert Lee met and married Leona Virginia Booth. They married about 1950 and together they had seven children.
Robert and Leona divorced in about 1965.
Later in life, Robert Lee moved to the Center, Texas area in order to be closer to his children. He was cared for by his daughter Barbara until his death.
