A.C. Spellicy Dies at 67 In Hospital
Andrew C. Spellicy, 67, of 828 Erie Blvd. W., died Tuesday
night in Rome Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Florence, Sept 17, 1899, he was the son of Andrew
and Mary Worth Spellicy. He was educated in Florence schools.
He married the former Catherine P. Schneible, Dec. 31, 1927, in St. Mary's Church, Rome, with the late Rev. George
Heisler, then pastor, officiating. Mr. Spellicy resided in Rome 45 years, before that in Florence.
He was employed more than 42 years at General Cable Corp., retiring in April, 1966. A communicant of St Mary's Chum . he was a member of the Hoiy Name Society and the Greenway Fish & Game Club.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. June Schilling and Mrs. James D (Joan) Guy Sr., both of Rome, and Mrs. Leonard (Marie) Viens, Oneida; a son, Lynn A. Spellicy, Rome; five sisters, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Snow,
Camden; Mrs. Edward (Bertha) Bove, St Cloud, Fla.; Mrs. William (Margaret) Schneible, Rome; Mrs. William (Ruth) Riley, Stokes, and Mrs. John (Lillian) Smith, Westmoreland; three brothers, Theodore Spellicy, Stokes; Henry Spellicy, Camden, and James Spellicy, Florence, and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 8:45 Friday morning at the Martin J. Nunn Funeral Home, and at 9:30 in St. Mary's Church, where a solemn requiem high Mass will be offered. Interment will be in St Mary's Cemetery.
