Ruth C. Spellicy was born in Florence, NY January 12, 1909. Her parents were Andrew and Mary Ann Wurth Spellicy, and Ruth was one of 13 children. On October 6,1934 Ruth married William R. Riley at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Florence, NY. They lived in Rome, NY for several years before moving to Lee, NY, where they operated a dairy farm. They raised 4 children: Mary Lou, Catherine, Eileen and William on the farm. In their retirement years they moved to Boonville, NY, where they stayed. In 1984 William and Ruth celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary, in Boonville, with all their children and friends and family.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband in 1988.
