Florence, Sept. 22 — Andrew Spellicy, 85, well known and highly regarded farmer of this section where he had lived since he was two years old. died at his home Saturday. He had been in poor health for some time. Mr Spellicy was born Nov. 4, 1855, at Fort Bull, near Rome, a- son of Thomas and Hannora Leonard Spellicy. He came here with his parents and on Sept. 28, 1887. In St. Mary's Church, he married Mary Ann Wurth who died Feb 1, 1939. He was a member of St Mary's Church. Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs Leo Schuler and Mrs William F Schneible, Rome; Mrs Charles Snow Sr,. Rome; Mrs and Mrs. Edward M. Bovee, Camden; Mrs. Floyd Q'Hara, Marathon; Mrs. Norman Graves, Florence; Mrs. John Smith. Westmoreland, and Mrs.William Riley, Stokes: four sons, Theodore and Andrew Spellicy, Rome; Henry, Camden and James, Florence; 47 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, also nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at. 9:30 a. m. at his home and at 10 a. m. at St. Mary's Church. Interment, in charge of B.A. Sanborn &. Son will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery.
