Her parents are buried next to her grave. Stone is badly worn and almost illegible. Date of birth per some family records is 14 Jan 1900 and that she "lived 18 months" which would give death date of June 1901. However, the 1900 Federal Census dated 13 June, ONLY lists their older child, Srielda Blanche Perkins b. 1898.
Mari Melissa Nittler, family member and Perkins researcher indicates that pictures of the Perkins Bible "'says Leta Emeline Perkins was born Jan. 14, 1900. She died June 20, 1902.' Above it is written Wesley Perkins Family."
This would mean one of two things:
1) 1900 Federal Census taker missed one person (unlikely)
2) The birth year was really 1901
Until further documentation is found, this record notes the 1901 birth as per the notation by [probably] her mother, Tacie, that she "lived only 18 months."
