Mrs. Blanche Cope of Arco, Oklahoma, died last Friday night of consumption at the Dykes Hospital in this city. She was brought to this city several weeks ago and taken to the hospital but the disease had reached a stage which placed her beyond permanent aid. She grew steadily weaker until the end.
Mrs. Cope was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ferris of this city. She leaves a husband and a small child but four months old. The former has been with her since she was brought here.
Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E. N. Cunningham, after which the remains were laid away in Stafford cemetery. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of many sorrowing friends.

Mrs. Blanche Cope died at the Dykes hospital the 14th inst, of consumption and was buried in the Stafford cemetery Saturday afternoon. The funeral took place from the Methodist church, the Rev. Cunningham conducting the services.
The deceased is better known to the larger number of our people as the former wife of Henry Young, who was accidentally shot and killed while out hunting several years ago, south of town. Some time after his death she removed to Oklahoma where she was married to the present husband, Mr. Cope, and to this union was born one child who is yet an infant and with its father survives the mother. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Ferris of this county.
The writer remembers Mrs Cope as a schoolmate and regrets her early death very sorely. She was always of a bright, loveable disposition, kind hearted and one who made friends wherever known. In her death, Mr. Cope loses an estimable wife and her home friends and those about here are giving up one who will be sorely missed. We tender our heartfelt sympathies to all those near and dear and trust that Blanche's God will give solace to the aching hearts.
She was born in Iowa, March 19, 1877; and died in Stafford, Oct 14, 1904, aged 27 years.
