George B. Ferris, 85, died Wednesday in Norfolk. He was born Feb. 7, 1864 at Maryville, Missouri. He was married on Oct. 4, 1889 at Red Oak, Iowas. He was survived by his wife, 4 sons: Chauncey at Pierce, Harold at Fremont, Lawrence at Scottsbluff, Floyd at Norfolk, 4 daughters: Mrs. Hester Lee at Billings, Montana; Mrs. Adeline Tarnstrom at Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mrs. Pearl Irvine at Omaha; Mrs. Mildred DeForest at Seattle, Washington; 1 brother Carl at Norfolk, 1 sister Mrs. Kittie Hacker at Garden City, Kansas; 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by 2 sons: Clifford and Carl, 1 daughter, Mrs. Grace Johnson. The funeral will be held Sunday with burial in Prospect Hill cemetery.
