Miss King graduated in 1937 from Salina high school. She he had lived in Topeka since 1941. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Topeka.

Survivors included a a brother, Cecil E. King; and three sisters, Mrs. Olive Gage, Mrs. Ruth Stauffer, and Mrs. Joyce Brooke.
