Eithel Florence Cromer Zink, youngest daughter of George and Evelyn Cromer, was born near Salem, Ind., Aug. 7, 1893, and departed this life, March 9, 1971, at the Gleason Hospital, Larned, at the age of 77 years, seven months and two days. On Dec. 20, 1913, she was united in marriage to Lotus O. Zink at Salem, Ind. To this union were born five children, Carl, Clarence, Lloyd, Doris and Shirley. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Radium, Kan., later to Larned where they lived at the time of her death. At an early age she became a member of Mount Carmel Methodist Church near Salem. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Ladies Country Club. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and the concern and welfare of her home and family were always foremost in her mind. Her eldest son, Carl, her parents, sisters and brother all preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Lotus; sons, Clarence and Lloyd of Larned; daughters (Doris) Mrs. Arthur Clutter of Larned. (Shirley) Mrs. Richard Edwards of Corpus Christi, Tex.; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Beckwith Mortuary in Larned, Thursday, March 11, with the Rev. Robert E. Smith of the First Christian Church of Larned officiating. Soloist was Gene Campbell; organist, Mrs. Dorothy Miller of Larned. Pallbearers were John Zink, Joe Zink, Larry Zink, Michael Clutter, Earl Smith and Earl Fertig.
