Mrs. Bessie May (Huch) James, 64, died at 10:15 a. m. Thursday at her home, 610 Jefferson street, after an illness of several months. Born in Lafayette, she was married to John R. James, Feb. 15, 1906. She was a life-long member of the Brown Street Methodist church, and belonged to the American Legion auxiliary and Women's Relief corps, No. 4.
Surviving are the husband; two sons, George and John, city; three daughters, Mrs. William Leach, Mrs. Walter Virgil and Mrs. Ida Hartnett, all of Lafayette; a foster son, William D. Royer, of Linden and three brothers, Fred, Robert and Harold Huch, all of Lafayette.
