Born at Mulberry, he had lived in Lafayette since he was a boy and formerly operated a sand and gravel business and later was employed in the Lafayette city barns. He was married here in in 1905 to Bessie Huch who died in 1948. He was a member of the First Free Methodist church.
Surviving are two sons, John and George of Lafayette R. 7, and a foster son, William Royer of Springfield, Ill.
