PFC HAROLD E. ROSE
The body of PFC. Harold E. Rose, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rose, 2935 S. Cypress Street, who was killed in the Pelau Islands, September 18, 1944, is being returned to this country for burial. A military escort will accompany the body from California. Pfc Rose entered the army July 9, 1943 at St. Louis. He was sent overseas December 30, 1943

PFC HAROLD ROSE
Services for Pvt. Harold Rose, who was killed September 16, 1944 on Pelecliu while fighting with the First Marine Division, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.
Rev. R. G. Rodgers will officiate, assisted by Rev. Fred Jensen, chaplain of the American Legion. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Monahan Post, American Legion.
Pfc, Rose, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rose, 2935 S. Cypress Street, was born at Oho, Iowa, October 24, 1924. He attended schools in Sioux City and Mokane, Missouri. He enlisted in the Marine Corps here in 1943. He was a member of the Morningside Christian Church.
Survivors besides his parents include two sisters, Mrs. Loren Barlow of Estherville and Mrs. Dan Gadbois of Sioux City; a brother Herbert of Estherville, and three nieces and two nephews.
