MRS. ERNEST ROSE
Mrs. Ernest Rose, 75, 6120 Morningside Avenue, died Saturday at a Sioux City nursing home after a long illness.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Billy Sunday Memorial Tabernacle with the Rev. Martin Mosier and Jack Barlow, grandson of Mrs. Rose officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of W Harry Christy Funeral Home.
Pall bearers will be Richard Dixon, Gilbert Spencer, Leo Eickhold, Ken and Delbert Watkins, and Dennie Clark.
Mrs. Rose, the former Deneig A. Dixon, was born June 16, 1898, near Pierre, South Dakota. She moved to Sioux City with her parents as a small child She was married September 16, 1916, at Onawa. Mr. Rose died July 2, 1966.
Survivors include a son, Herbert W. of Fort Dodge, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Loren (Nell) Barlow of Luverne, Minnesota and Mrs. Helen Gadbois of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four brothers, Ted of Sergeant Bluff, Lester of Lawton, Iowa and Bill and Robert, both of Sioux City, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Wilma) Heisler and Mrs. Nellie Spencer, both of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
