Marvin M. Dake, age 92, of Iberia, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2011, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. He was born in Miller County on March 28, 1918. On January 11, 1941, in Tuscumbia, he was united in marriage to Anita Ruth Wilson, who preceded him in death on February 2, 2010.

He enjoyed coon and fox hunting. Marvin was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Waynesville.

He is survived by two sons, James Dake of O'Fallon and Kenneth Dake and wife Deborah of Iberia; one daughter, Peggy Koepke and husband Ronald of Iberia; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Lynda Hedges; one son-in-law, Phil Hedges; two sisters, Maxine Means and Shirley Copeland; and one brother, Redus Wilson.

A private family service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Interment will be in Dake Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Dake Cemetery near Iberia.
