Shirley D. Copeland, 62, Dixon, died Feb. 5, 2000, in Jefferson City.

She was born Dec. 31, 1937, in Miller County, a daughter of Lawrence and Sarah Dake Wilson. She was married April 16, 1955, in Iberia, to Burl Copeland, who survives at the home.

A 1955 graduate of Iberia High School, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Campground Christian Church, near Van Cleve.

Other survivors include: four sons, Kerry Copeland and Keith Copeland, both of Dixon, and Kenneth Copeland and Kelly Copeland, both of Jefferson City; two sisters, Irene Fitzgerald, Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Maxine Means, Meta; one brother, Marvin Dake, Iberia; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Manuel Seaton will officiate. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery, near Iberia.

Memorials are suggested to Campground Christian Church.
