Born in West Virginia to John W Trout and Mary Warren Trout.Worked in a coal mine in Kentucky. At Mallory, West Virginia worked as a teamster at the coal mine. My understanding is the miners paid say $2 a month and could use all the coal they wanted. Papaw was one of the guys who delivered the coal to the minors homes. Married to Rosie Marshall Trout. 5 children; Mary Trout Simpkins, Shirley Trout Tiller, Eloise (died as child), John William (Bill) Trout, George Robert (Robert) Trout.
