Rosemary Genevive Ruder, 91, Worland, Wyo., passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at the Washakie Medical Center in Worland.

Rosemary was born April 25, 1920, in Rothschild to Leon and Angelina (Bloczynski) Abel. She married Edward Ruder on March 28, 1941, in Iowa. Three sons were born to this union, Lee, Craig and Lon.

Rosemary loved to play the guitar, the keyboard and the harmonica. She also loved to sing. She sang on the radio in Wisconsin and she was a member of the "Fun Band" at the Worland Senior Citizen Center. She was a speed skater, and in later years she also enjoyed playing bingo.

Rosemary and Ed loved to travel spending time in Texas and Mexico. After Ed passed away in April 1984 she moved to Worland to be closer to her son, Lon, and his family. She worked as a foster grandparent for over 10 years in the middle school and also the Boys School. She has been a resident at the Wyoming retirement center for the past 10 years.

Her hobbies were crossword puzzles, gardening, playing bingo, fishing, and being with her granddaughters, Tiffani and Jamie. She also was a very good cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Lee and Craig; sisters, Beverly "Boots" Yirkovsky and Leone Barter; brothers, Richard and Henry Abel; and stepbrothers, Frank and Edward Sillars.

Survivors include her son, Lon (Tiffani) Ruder of Worland; sister, Joyce Higley of Oregon; stepbrother, Charles (Arlene) Sillars of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jamie (Justin) Pfeiffer, Tiffani (Sandell) Harry of Worland, Guy Ruder and Roxanne Rigney of Wisconsin; five great-grandchildren and one on the way. Rosemary will be missed by all.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
