Services for Cecil P. James 81, 510 E Wabash Ave, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Marocco Funeral Chapel.
He died at 7a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2000, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born May 24, 1918, in Winamac he was the son of Joseph and Mae Ely James. On Nov. 23, 1940, he was married in Logansport to Edith Prophet, who survives.
Mr. James was employed as a roofer his entire life. He liked to attend car races and enjoyed fishing. He was fond of animals of all kinds.
Also surviving are two daughters, Betty Frye, and her husband, Buck Frye, and Carolyn McCain. All of Logansport; two brothers, Don James, Elkhart and Kenneth Janes, Texas, six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Six brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. The Rev. Horace Smith will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in Marocco Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
