Paul H "Curly" James, 34 of 831 State St died at 9 p.m.Sunday at Veterans hospital, Indianapolis, of complications resulting from a cerebral attack and pneumonia. An employee of Wolf Construction Co he had been admitted to Memorial hospital Dec 23 and transferred to Veterans hospital the same day. Born Nov 17, 1927 in Logansport, he was the son of Joseph Arthur James and Mae Ealey James. His marriage was on Feb 22, 1948, to Bonnie Delores Stambazze, who survives. Also surviving are four children at home, Paul Herbert Jr., Honey Bebee, Paula Delores and Dixie Lee; eight brothers and sisters, William, Donald and Cecil, all of Logansport; Charles, of Deer Creek; and Kenneth, with the U. S. Air Force in Texas. Mrs Evelyn Birnell, Beaumont Tex; Mrs Josephine Knight, Walton; and Mrs Edna Ropp, Logansport; his step-mother Mrs Jane James, of Logansport. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fisher funeral home. Rev Alfred Gerni officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
