Kenneth Leroy James (1935-2012)
BELLS – Kenneth Leroy James, 77 year old Bells resident, passed away on his birthday, Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at TMC in Denison. Kenneth was born March 7, 1935 in Logansport, Ind. to parents Joseph Arthur James and Mae Elli (Smith) James. He married Bonnie Lou Cobble, October 28, 1954 in Durant, Okla. Kenneth was a Purchasing Agent for the City of Sherman for 11 years and retired as a Technical Sergeant from the United States Air Force, was given Commendation Award for Meritorious Service in 1970 and was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church.

A Graveside Service for Mr. James will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at Hebron Cemetery with Reverend Houston Garner conducting the service. The family will greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home, Bells.

Mr. James is survived by two sons, Gary Lee James and wife Lisa of Ambrose and Bryan Keith James of Sherman; daughter-in-law, Laurie Cripps of Green Valley, Ariz.; brother, Donald James of Logansport, Ind.; six grandchildren, Michelle James, Michael Cripps, Jeremy Cripps, LaTacia James, Deleena Nordin, Crystal James and three great-grandchildren, Stevie James, Bryanna Skidmore, and Lisa Nichole Skidmore. He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Bonnie James; sons, Michael Kenneth Cripps and Donald Joseph James.

Actually Uncle Kenny and Aunt Bonnie legally adopted Crystal James a grand daughter so she was actually their daughter.
