Son of the late David Wales and Ada Augusta Hughes Kerfoot, he was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps (WWII). He was a retired carpenter for the Enid School Board. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and the Enid American Legion, Argonne Post #4. He was survived by his wife, Stella Stone Kerfoot (married on December 30, 1949, in Alva, OK); one son, Kenneth W. Kerfoot (Sally); two daughters, Marilyn E. Bull (Charles) and Janice L. Goodwin (Art); a sister, Leta A. Beasley; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and an extended family of relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. His graveside funeral was held on March 11, 2011, with The Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. His burial was with military honors.
