Leta Kerfoot was born on May 1st, 1918 near Aline, Oklahoma to David Wales Kerfoot & Ada Augusta Hughes.

Leta married Melvin Oscar Williams on the 21st of June, 1938. They had 4 sons together, Melvin Leon, Kenneth LaMoine, Duane Allan, and Leonard Ray Williams. She later married Earl Lester "Let" Maggard on the 17th of December, 1952. They lived together in Quinlan, Oklahoma where she worked operating a telephone switchboard and then moved to a farm near Quinlan until Let's death. She then married Isaac "Ike" Milton Beasley on the 28th of April, 1978. They moved to Clinton, Arkansas where they were active members of the community. They later worked managing the Woodmen of the World Youth Camp in Clinton, Arkansas. Ike & Leta moved to Woodward, Oklahoma to live with Leta's son Leonard & his family due to their advanced age and ailing health.

Leta was preceded in death by her parents, all 13 of her siblings, 3 husbands, and her sons Duane Allen and Kenneth LaMoine Williams.

Leta passed away at home in Ponca City, Oklahoma on the 27th of April, 2013. She was just a few days shy of her 95th birthday.

She was survived by her son Melvin "Leon" & his wife Delores and their two children Jackie & Tammy, Leonard & his wife Lynda and their children Selena, Justin, and Jeremy "Shane", and her grandchildren Steven, Patricia, Lisa, Kelly, and many great grandchildren.
