Her birth name was Agnes Belonger.
Sister Cyprian Belonger C.S.A., 97, a resident of St. Francis Home, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at her home.
She was born Feb. 4, 1906, in Coleman, Wis., a daughter of the late Peter and Delia Dupuis Belonger.
Sister Cyprian professed vows in the Congregation of St. Agnes on Aug. 15, 1933. She earned a bachelor's degree in education and ministered in teaching a parish ministry in Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas and Indiana.
Survivors include her sister Alice Schaden of Two Rivers, Wis.; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Belonger and Catherine Belonger; nieces, nephews and the Congregation of St. Agnes with whom she ministered.
Her brothers, Robert, Willard, Isadore, Clarence and Harry, and her sisters, Amanda Belonger, Adeline Hurley, Dorothy Kunz, Bernadette Hostettler, Elizabeth Niespodziany and Sister Frances Terese Belonger C.S.A. preceded Sister Cyprian in death.
Services: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at the Saint Francis Home Chapel, 33 Evertt St. The Rev. Edward F.Sippel will officiate. burial will be at the St. Joseph's Springs Cemetery.
Visitation: Visitation will be on Monday after 1 p.m. at Nazareth Court, 375 Gillett St., where a parish vigil service will be held at 4 p.m.
Zacherl Funeral Home is serving the Congregation of St. Agnes.
