Elizabeth M. Niespodziany age 91, formerly of 417 Riverview Dr., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening, March 19, 2000, at North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Due to the renovation at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2000, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M., with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Elizabeth Belonger was born July 21, 1908, at Coleman, Wis., daughter of the late Peter and Delia Dupuis Belonger. ON June 9, 1937, she married Edwin M. Niespodziany, at St. Lukes Catholic Church, Two River. He preceded her in death February 28, 1994. Elizabeth had been employed in the dietary department of Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, for many years, until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and the St. Mary Rosary and Altar Society.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tom Niespodziany and special friend, Robin, DePere, Paul and Donna Niespodziany , San Diego, Calif.; one daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Deacon Robert Drobka, Manitowoc; five grandchildren, James Drobka, California, Gerald Drobka, Illinois, Mary Peterson and her husband, Bruce, Kenosha, Heidi Niespodziany, Manitowoc, Kim Niespodziany, Manitowoc; three sisters, Sr. Cyprian CSA, Fond du Lac, Sr. Frances Terese CSA, Fond du Lac, Mrs. Alice Schaden, Two Rivers; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Belonger, and Mrs. Catherine Belonger, both of Two Rivers. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, other relatives, two special friends who visited her often, Helen Rydzewski and Romelda Lukes and many other friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert, Willard,Isadore, Clarence and Harry; four sisters, Amanda, Adeline, Dorothy and Bernadette.
The family will greet relatives and frends at the Pfeffer Fuenral Home, Manitowoc, from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday (TONIGHT), where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Deacon Robert Drobka.
The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to the North Ridge nurses and staff for their compassionate care given to Elizabeth.
