Alice was born on Dec. 15, 1914, at Coleman, a daughter of the late Peter and Delia (DuPuis) Belonger. She was a graduate of St. Luke's Parochial School, and also attended Vocational Technical School in Two Rivers. She married Francis Schaden on June 15, 1938, at St. Luke's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1985. Alice worked for several Two Rivers businesses over the years, including Metal Ware Corporation; Mirro Aluminum Company; Schroeder's Department Store; Paragon Electric Company; and Wesco Manufacturing Company. She was a former member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, where she held various offices on the parish council, was a lector and lay minister, and was active in the Diocesan Cursillo Movement. Alice was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; and was a great sports fan who loved the Green Bay Packers, and enjoyed her only great granddaughter. (Survivors omitted for privacy.)
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law: David Vnuk; five brothers; and seven sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers. Deacon Robert Drobka will officiate at the service, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no visitation this evening.
